When you order from a prix fixe menu at participating restaurants during Restaurant Week, you’ll enjoy great food AND help Safelight clients find and secure lasting employment through internships at Dandelion.
Dandelion focuses on providing locally grown, fresh, seasonal food, in a downtown Hendersonville location one block off Main Street. The rationale behind this social venture is the understanding that by helping Safelight clients succeed at the steps along a career path they help them become successful in their jobs, families will be more likely to be able to pay the bills, and the number of safe, self-sufficient families in our community will increase.
Dandelion is the cornerstone of Safelight’s job training program. The internship program provides job training for victims of violence and provides an educational and supportive environment for those who may be at risk. Participants gain experience and strengthen interpersonal skills while receiving additional services for themselves and their families.
